Privacy Policy — Ring Sizer

Overview

GÜNAYDIN APP STUDIO YAZILIM HİZMETLERİ LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ (“we”, “us”, “our”) publishes the Ring Sizer app (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, what stays on your device, and the limited information that is shared with our subscription provider when you use premium features.

In short: Your measurements, camera images and preferences never leave your device. We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking. The only data that leaves the App is the minimum needed to operate subscriptions through Apple and our subscription provider, Adapty, under a random identifier that is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID.

Information stored only on your device

The following is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else:

Your ring size measurements and measurement history (diameter, circumference, date, and the method used).
Your preferences: region and size standard, display unit (mm or inches), language, and whether you have completed onboarding.
A random identifier generated by the App on first launch, and a counter for free measurements.

Deleting the App deletes all of this data.

Camera and card calibration

The App’s camera measurement asks you to place a standard-size plastic card (for example a bank card, ID card, loyalty or gift card — any card of the common ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 format, 85.60 × 53.98 mm) in the camera frame. The card is used only as a size reference: the App detects the outline of the card to work out how many millimetres one pixel represents, and then measures your finger from a second photo.

The App does not read, recognise, store or transmit any text, numbers, names, chips or other details printed on the card. Only the rectangular outline is detected.
Photos are processed in memory on your device and discarded immediately after the measurement. They are never saved to your photo library, stored by the App, or uploaded anywhere.
You may use any card of that size, and you may place the card face down or cover its details. The measurement works the same.
Camera access is requested only when you choose the camera measurement mode, and you can revoke it at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera.

Subscriptions and purchases

Premium features are sold as in-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple’s App Store.

Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment card number, billing address or Apple ID password.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies.

To unlock premium features, restore purchases and configure the offers shown in the App, we use Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.), a subscription infrastructure provider. When the App starts and when a purchase is made, Adapty receives:

the random identifier generated by the App (not your name, email or Apple ID);
basic device and app information: device model, a vendor identifier (IDFV), operating system version, language, country/region, time zone and App version;
App Store transaction and receipt information needed to verify and restore purchases (product identifier, subscription status, trial and renewal dates — never payment card details);
which offer screen (paywall) was shown to you and whether a purchase followed.

We use this information only to deliver the features you paid for, restore purchases, show the correct offer and understand aggregate subscription performance. Adapty processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy. Adapty’s servers may be located outside your country. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Legal basis: we process this information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (delivering and restoring the features you purchased) and, for aggregate subscription statistics, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the App. Adapty may transfer data to the United States; such transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

No analytics, advertising or tracking

The App contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Support requests

If you contact us through “Send Feedback” in the App, your email client opens with a message that includes the App version, your device model and iOS version, so that we can help you. We use this only to respond to your request. We keep support emails for as long as needed to resolve the issue.

Data retention and deletion

On-device data is removed when you delete the App.
Subscription records held by Adapty are kept as long as needed to operate your subscription and meet legal obligations. To have them deleted, email us at hello@gunaydinappstudio.com; because the records are only linked to a random identifier, we may ask you to send that identifier or your original App Store receipt so we can find them.

Security

Because the App keeps your measurements and images on your device, there is no measurement or image data on our servers to be breached. Data exchanged with Apple and Adapty is transmitted over encrypted connections.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and Türkiye’s KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Since we hold no personal data beyond the subscription records described above, most of these rights can be exercised by deleting the App or emailing us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
